Outside the Clinic

I truly enjoy teaching other medical professionals about the advanced methods I've developed in the fight against skin cancer and acne scars. When I'm not writing book chapters or scientific articles, you can find me traveling to conferences where I share my knowledge to help promote the advancement of dermatology.

I have always loved animals. Amphibians, reptiles, mammals, and birds—I cherish them all and have adopted 29 homeless animals to date. I recently adopted three Dobermans and they take up most of my free time outside of the office. They are, quite literally, a handful!

On weekends, I enjoy taking road trips in my beautiful home state of California. One of my favorite destinations is Big Sur because it's the perfect harmony of mountains meeting the sea. Outside the US, my favorite destination is Santorini, Greece. I have never seen such beautiful sunsets as I have while riding an ATV across this heavenly place. In addition, scuba diving is a passion that I cannot live without. My favorite diving is the treacherous Blue Hole in Belize and I hope to dive the Red Sea next!
